Dennis Jacklett

Dennis Lee Jacklett, age 58, of Meadville, PA passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2022.  He was born on December 19, 1963 in Meadville, PA, the son of Robert and Dorothy Beck.

Dennis attended Meadville High School.  From 1998-2003 he owned his own trucking company called “Jacklett Trucking.”  For the past 18 years he drove dump truck for Deb Ross Trucking.

He was a volunteer firefighter for Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department #27.  He loved riding his motorcycle, watching his childrens’ dirt track races and demolition derbies and he especially loved spending time with all of his grandkids.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Dorothy Beck of Pittston, PA (formerly of Meadville, PA); his son, Frank Jacklett and his wife, Sara of Linesville, PA and his two daughters, Trisha Jacklett and her fiancé, Mike Harmon of Springboro, PA and Heather Jacklett and her significant other, Scott Peterson of Meadville, PA; 9 grandchildren; his sisters, Carol Kohler of Meadville, PA, Cynthia Allen of Saegertown, PA and Brenda VanScoy and her husband, Justin of Plains, PA and his brother, Mark Brown and his wife, Mary of Georgetown, KY and his brother-in-law, Ryan Pratt of Meadville, PA and his former spouse, Debbie Jacklett of Meadville, PA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Beck; his maternal grandparents, Everett and Helen Shaffer and his sister, Lisa Pratt.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday October 20, 2022 from 5-6 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA.  A memorial service will take place at 6:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Christine Rogan officiating.
