Destin Beck

Destin Alexander Beck, age 20, of Meadville, PA passed away unexpectedly at Meadville Medical Center on January 17, 2021.  He was born on March 14, 2000 in Meadville, PA to Robert and Cynthia (Schwab) Beck.

He graduated from Meadville High School in 2018.  He was employed at Acutec as a machinist.  He completed the machinist program 4 months before he was scheduled to.

He was an avid gamer, loved Nerf guns, kayaking, drawing and generally loved being a complete goofball.   He was a member of the Meadville District 10, Region 5 championship football team in his junior year as well as defensive player of the year his senior year and Region 5 champs.  He was also a member of the Track and Field team, throwing shotput, discus and javelin.  His senior year, he was the first boy to go to districts in 10 plus years for javelin and very proud of his accomplishment, throwing 145’ 6” in javelin.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Yeckley and her husband, Marcos of Meadville, PA and Morgan Beck of Meadville, PA; four brothers, Garrett Conklin of Butler, PA, Dakota Conklin of Pittsburgh, PA, Brandon Beck and his wife, Ashley of Greenville, PA and Petty Officer 3 ^rd Class Tristan Beck of Meadville, PA; maternal grandmother, Barb Sabraw of Edinboro, PA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Destin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Terry Schwab and paternal grandparents, Robert A. Beck II and Sandra Johnson.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday January 30, 2021 at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335 from 2-4 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Sam Heagy officiating.
