Dolores Reichel, age 97, formerly of Saegertown, currently of Wesbury, where she is affectionately known as the quilting lady passed away on Sunday May 17, 2026. She was born on November 30, 1928 in Meadville, PA to the late Lester F. and Elizabeth (Rohan) Williams.
She married Robert Baumbach. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1970. She then married her high school sweetheart, Gerald Morris. He also preceded her in death.
Delores was a Meadville High School graduate. She worked for Bell Telephone as a telephone operator for 24 years until her retirement.
She was a member of the American Legion Post #111 as well as a Lifetime Auxiliary Member serving in many offices. She was also a member of Telephone Pioneer Club.
Delores enjoyed canning tomatoes and being a seamstress but most of all she loved quilting.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Baumbach of Saegertown, PA and her son, Terry Baumbach and his wife, Laura of Albion, Saegertown, PA; three grandchildren, Robert Baumbach, Harrison Baumbach and Lester Saeger; several great grandchildren; her brothers, Lester James Williams of Hudson, MI and Russell J. Williams and his wife, Beverly of Meadville, PA and many nieces and nephews, including a very close niece, Linda Reade and her husband, Daniel of Las Vegas, NV.
In addition to her parents and her first and second husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Saeger; her great grandson, Richard Saeger Jr.; her sister, Florence Marie and her brothers, Raymond (Mayabelle) Williams, Fred (Dorothy) Williams and Thomas (Lula) Williams and a sister-in-law, Bernice Williams.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday May 22, 2026 from 12-1 pm at Wesbury’s Barco Chapel at Grace, 31 Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm with Pastor Sam Marchetta officiating and a brief Auxiliary memorial service will be given by American Legion Post #111. Burial will immediately follow at Roselawn.
