Donald Gehr

Donald Lee Gehr, 75, of Saegertown, PA passed away at home on September 29, 2024. He was born July 29, 1949 in Meadville, PA to the late William SanFelice and Thelma Gehr Simpson. He married the late Rose (Vanderhoof) Gehr on August 13th, 1986.

Donald worked several years in maintenance at Conneaut Lake Park and Quality Living Center and delivered meals for Active Aging. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and collecting solar lights, which he would proudly display in his yard. He was very crafted at carpentry and enjoyed building and fixing things as a hobby.

He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Gehr Ott of Meadville, PA and Marlena Jones of Akron, OH; two sons, Joseph Gehr of Lancaster, PA and Donny Jones (Mary Jo) of Meadville, PA; three step children, Melissa Troupe of Douglas, GA, Mary Jo Chaplin (Rob) of Three Rivers, MI and Jack Rumzie of Mendon, MI and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his step son, Michael Rumzie; his son-in-law, Richard Ott Jr. and his brother, William Simpson.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
