Donna J. Loper

Donna J. Loper, age 87, of Liberty Street Extension, Meadville, PA passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at her daughter’s home.             She was born July 31, 1928 in Spartansburg, PA the daughter of the late Edward Morrison and Vera Sears Morrison. She married Lyle Loper on November 7, 1953. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2010.             Donna had been a waitress at various area restaurants and was a practical nurse at Flickinger’s Nursing Home and at Geneva Hospital. She was of the Protestant Faith. Donna was a former social member of the VFW Post #2006, Meadville and she enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and especially loved her cat, Kitty. Donna is survived by two daughters: Cheryl Leech and her husband Darrel of Meadville, PA and Rain Morgan of Arizona, a son: Ralph Loper of Meadville, PA, four grandchildren: Jackie Dearing, Chris Rogers, Ben Leech, and Jillianne Wills, two great-grandchildren: Miah Dearing and Brett Dearing.             In addition to her parents and her husband, Donna was preceded in death by a grandson: Jason Leech and a sister: Geneva Cartier and an infant brother: James Morrison.             Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 PM on Wednesday at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. The funeral will be held at 6 PM with the Rev. Marshall Lillie, Chaplain of Crawford County Hospice, officiating.             Burial will be in the Anderson Cemetery.
