December 2, 1933 — July 17, 2024

Doris Elaine (Reichel) Woge Brown, age 90, of Hayfield Township, PA passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024.  She was born on December 2, 1933 in Meadville, PA to the late Garold and Helen (Black) Reichel. She first married Lester Woge and together they had 7 children, Melanie, Ralph, Max, Valerie, Rudy, Lynnette and Woody.  She then married Lewis H. Brown on December 20, 1965 and together they had 2 children, Paul and Molly.

Doris primarily stayed home to raise the children and the household and the family farm.  She was a member of Hamlin Chapel United Methodist Church since she was a young girl.  Through the church she was a member of Women of Faith.  She was a lifetime Auxiliary member of Hayfield Central Hose Company and a member of Saegertown American Legion Post #205.  She enjoyed playing BINGO and doing word searches but what made her the happiest was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Melanie, Ralph, Rudy, Paul and Molly; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Clair, Jim, Maurice, Lorene and Marlene and she was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; her children, Max, Valerie, Lynnette and Woody and her brother, Kenny and sister, Joanne.

Doris wanted to continue giving back even after her passing so she chose to donate her body to science. As per Doris’ request, there will be private services at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hamlin Chapel, 16460 PA 198, Saegertown, PA 16433 or Hayfield Central Hose Company, 15417 PA 198, Meadville, PA 16335.
