Dorothy I. Adams age 90 of Conneaut Lake, passed away on July 5, 2015, at Rolling Fields, Conneautville. She was born January 16, 1925 at Greenville, PA: the daughter of Gerald and Elda Cannon Campbell. Dorothy married Dean D. Adams on December 5, 1943. Dean preceded Dorothy in death on September 8, 1959. Dorothy attended Greenville Area Schools. She was employed in the fashion industry for many years and had been associated with various Meadville Dress Shops. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Adams, a 66 year resident of Conneaut Lake will be remembered for her beautiful yard and flower gardens; and for reading on her front porch. She enjoyed art as an amateur painter and loved all types of music. Survivors include: a daughter Beckie (Paul) Sheckler of Conneaut Lake; a son Dean D. Adams of Milton, Florida; also four grandchildren Nicole Sheckler Lergier and husband Julio of Pembroke Pines, Florida; Travis Sheckler and wife Andrea of Meadville; Dean D. Adams and Aaron J. Adams, both of Milton, Florida. Also surviving are three sisters: Shirley Clark of Springfield, Missouri, Virginia Burchfield of Conneaut Lake, June Fry of Greenville, PA; and five great-grandchildren: Julio, Gabriel, and Sofia Lergier of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Aubrianna and Mara Sheckler of Meadville. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by five sisters: Mary Campbell, Blanche Beatty, Kathryn Foulk, Rose Kenjevari, and Helen Moore; also one brother John Campbell. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake, from noon until 2PM, when a funeral service will be held, with Pastor Dave Brumagin of the Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. The interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Disabled Veterans' Foundation 1020 19th St. NW Suite 475, Washington, D.C. 20036.
