Earl Atkin

Earl D. (Butch) Atkin, 75, of Saegertown, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 after an illness.  He was born May 3, 1948 in Erie, PA., the son of the late Wilbur and Iris (Oyler) Atkin.  Earl married Sandra Hunter on June 7, 1969. She survives.

Earl was a 1967 graduate of Saegertown High School. He retired from G.E. after 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, playing cards, mowing lawn and his granddaughters.

In addition to his wife Sandra, Earl is survived by a son Chad Atkin of North East, PA; two granddaughters, Charlene Crosby and her husband Adam of North Dakota and McKenna Atkie of Erie; three great granddaughters; three brothers Wilbur “Cork” Atkin of Texas, Dennis Atkin and his wife Valerie of North Carolina, Dale Atkin and his wife Renee of Venango, PA; three sisters, Denise Rodger and her husband Bill of South Carolina, Doris Atkin Troutner and Margaret Atkin, both of Cambridge Springs, PA; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by a brother Curt Atkin; a sister Karen Starcher; and a nephew Jeremy Atkin.

Per Earl’s wishes, there will be no services.
