Earl J. Wanker

Earl J. Wanker, age 73, of Cambridge Springs, PA passed away at his residence on Monday, July 13, 2020.  He was born March 2, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Charles and Alberta (Landis) Wanker.

Earl served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired from McCandless Township as road construction worker.   He was of Lutheran faith.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.

Earl is survived by one daughter, Barbara Dameron of Pittsburgh, PA; three grandchildren, Raymond, Valerie and Miranda; two sisters, Lois Wenzel of Zelienople, PA and Carol Bremmer of Zelionople, PA and one brother, Charles Wanker, Jr. and his girlfriend, Irene of South Carolina and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Richard Wenzel and William Bremmer.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 11-1 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  Funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Coleman of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Greenville officiating.  Military honors provided by VFW Post 2006.  A private burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 W. 38 ^th St., Erie, PA 16508 or an animal rescue of one’s choice.
