Earline K. Shunk, age 92 of Meadville, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. She was born in Meadville, a daughter of Joseph and Jane Beddillion Koehler of the Carnegie and Houston area. She married Harold H. Shunk. He preceded her in death. She was very proud of the fact that she had lived in the house on Mullen Road, which she and her husband owned for 60 years. She worked at a local business for 26 years. However after she was married, Earline became first and foremost a wife, mother and homemaker. The real essence of her life always centered around her family. She enjoyed baking, sewing and took great pride in her flower and victory garden. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Gallivanters Club. She participated in many activities at the YMCA, and was a longtime member of the volunteers at Active Aging spending many hours there. Everyone greatly admired Earline for always keeping a wonderful, positive attitude. It was incredible that she always kept up with current events, family activities and everything that was going on in the world. She was a very special person and an amazing spirit. Her memory will be deeply cherished by her family and everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Gary and wife Patricia, a granddaughter Jennifer Zacharyj and her husband Andrew, two great grandsons; Hunter and Gavin living in Ohio, one brother Clair Koehler and two sisters; Grace Byham and Betty Craggs, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Robert, Walter and Rodney and two sisters; Wilda Beatty and Dorothy Rickert. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
