Edith Shuffstall, 87, of Conneaut Lake passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Rolling Fields in Conneautville following a short illness. Edith was born June 14, 1930 in Meadville, PA a daughter of the late Clarence Shilling and Mary Styer Shilling.Her husband, Clifford Shuffstall, whom she married February 26, 1950, preceded her in death March 6, 1993. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Shilling. Survivors include 4 sons and a sister-in-law whom she raised from age 8, Lloyd Shuffstall and his companion Vilma Hall of Conneaut Lake PA, Bill Shuffstall and his wife Peg of State College PA, Dan Shuffstall and his companion Rae Davis of Meadville PA, and Stanley (Lew) Shuffstall and his wife Denise of Conneaut Lake PA and Doris Burdette and her husband Steve of Stoneboro PA. 4 grandchildren, Andrea Taylor, Shannon Stewart, Ryan Shuffstall, and Matt Shuffstall.5 great grandchildren, Jillian Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Karlie Stewart, Carter Stewart, and Kylie Shuffstall. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Lois Peterson of Cochranton PA, and Margaret Gevin and her husband Milo of Cochranton PA, and 1 brother, John Shilling and his wife Kay of Conneaut Lake PA and many nieces and nephews. Edith has resided in her Conneaut Lake home on the farm since 1953. She became a Stanley Home Products Dealer in 1959 and continued to take and fill orders until her passing. She worked the farm along with her husband and boys for many years. She was a leader of Fabulous Farmers 4-H Club for 25 years, Chairwoman of Crawford County Fair 4-H Department, and a member of the Crawford County 4-H Livestock Executive Committee. She also received the Crawford County Agriculture Hall of Award in 1991 and the J. Ira Coble Memorial Award for Outstanding PA 4-H Beef Club Leaders in 1998.She was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church and a member of Greenwood V.F.D. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, September 11, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 at Dickson Funeral Home in Conneaut Lake, PA. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 12, at noon and then Edith will be laid to rest at Huber Cemetery.
