Edward Clayton

Edward (Eddie) L. Clayton, age 59, of Guys Mills, PA passed away on Saturday February 5, 2022 at Meadville Medical Center.  He was born on November 16, 1962 in Rapid City, SD to the late Donald W. and Florence M. (Houghton) Clayton.  He married Laurie Jacobs on March 10, 1989.  She preceded him in death on April 19, 2011.

Eddie graduated from Meadville Senior High School in 1981.  He worked at C&J Industries as a project engineer for 34 years until his retirement in 2011.

He was a member of VFW Post 2006.  He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisher.  He loved any wildlife.  He also loved having his pig roasts and fish fries.

Eddie is survived by two sisters, Sharon Clayton and her companion, Ronald Hayden Jr. of Meadville, PA and Karla Stewart of Meadville, PA and one brother, Garry Clayton and his wife, Missy of Meadville, PA; his nieces, Crystal Copeland and her companion, Ken of Meadville, PA and Ashley Stewart of Butler, PA and his great niece, Asia Copeland of Meadville, PA; his nephews, Justin Copeland of Meadville, PA and Austin and Connor Crago of Guys Mills, PA; his uncles, Richard Clayton of Meadville, PA and Donald Dingle and his wife, Jan of Meadville, PA; his best lifetime friends Wayne Eddy and Andy Eddy of Guys Mills, PA and many aunts, uncles and cousins that live in England and New Zealand.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and his wife, Laurie Jacobs Clayton.

There will be no services.
