Edward Alan Hecker

Edward Alan Hecker, age 67, of Saegertown, PA passed away on Sunday October 30, 2016 at his residence after a brave three year battle with cancer. He was born August 8, 1949 in Meadville, the son of the late Raymond Hecker and Jennie Koczwara Hecker.  He married Corine Bohrer on October 6, 1973. She survives.             He was a graduate of Meadville High School and the Tool and Die Apprenticeship Program at Talon.  He retired as a foreman with Imperial Carbide.             Edward was a United States Air Force Veteran having served from June 17, 1968 honorably discharged on October 1, 1970 with the rank of Sergeant. He worked as a Radio Equipment Repairman.  He was a member of the VFW Post # 2006, Meadville, the VFW Post # 169 in Venango, the American Legion Post # 205 in Saegertown as well as a member of the BPOE #219 Meadville, and the West Mead 2 Fire Department.  Edward liked hunting, fishing and traveling and especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family.             Edward is survived by his wife of 42 years: Corine Hecker of Saegertown, two daughters: Andrea Pobicki and her husband Stephen of Pittsburgh, PA and Tina Todd and her husband John of Tucson, AZ, a son; Matthew Hecker and his fiancée Suzanne of Washington, DC, one granddaughter: Kayleigh Isacco, two sisters: Babbie Maloney and her husband Robert of Cochranton, PA and Joni Watt and her husband Steve of Meadville, PA.             Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Hecker and Jennie Koczwara Hecker.             Services will be at the convenience of the family.             Memorials can be made to the Yolanda G.
