Edward Lee Moyers

Edward Lee Moyers, age 84 of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at UPMC-Hamot, Erie, PA He was born September 9, 1930 in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of the late Edward and Marie Mathledge Moyers. He married Donna Barickman on April 26, 1969. She survives. He graduated from Conneaut Lake High School and graduated from Edinboro University with a degree in Elementary Education. He had worked in the spinning department for many years at Avtex Fibers in Meadville, PA. He was a United States Army Veteran. Edward was a member of the Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church in Conneaut Lake, PA He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Edward is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Moyers of Conneaut Lake, PA, a daughter; Catherine Kiser and her husband, Michael of Conneaut Lake, PA and a son; Joseph Moyers and his wife Erin of Oil City, PA, three grandchildren; Sarah, Caleigh and Rebecca, two sisters; Marlene Pignatelli and her husband Nicholas of Florida and Linda Robinson and her husband Thomas of Alabama, a brother; Bernard Moyers and his wife Jane of Titusville, PA. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends are welcome to call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA. A Vigil Prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church, 155 S Ninth Street, Conneaut Lake, PA, celebrated by Father Jeffrey Lucas. Burial will take place in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Mass Cards be given to Our Lady Queen of the Americas.
