Edward K. Ridgeway

Edward Keith Ridgeway passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2022.  He would have been 79 on January 3.  He was born in Meadville, PA to the late Donald and Ethel(Hollabaugh) Ridgeway.

Ed graduated from Meadville High School.  After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years.  He worked many jobs in his younger years.  In 1972, he applied for a job as a Meadville City Firefighter where we worked for 32 years until his retirement in 2004.  He enjoyed being outdoors even it was just going for a walk.

Ed is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Betty Jo (Peirce) Ridgeway.  He is also survived by his son, Corey Ridgeway of Carlise, PA; his grandson, Austin of York, PA; a granddaughter, Angela; a step-daughter, Kathy Boehme of Hudson, OH; his brother, Ardean Ridgeway of Saegertown, PA and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Henry and Carol Moffit and 5 brothers, Glenn, Walter, Dave, Donald and Daryl Ridgeway.

As per Ed’s wishes there will be no services.
