Edward Eugene Smith

Edward Eugene Smith, age 65 of Meadville, PA passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 21, 1949 in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana the son of Mildred Marie Richardson and the late Lawrence E. Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. He had been employed as a plastics worker. Edward was a member of the American Legion Post #0111 Meadville, PA and the Meadville ICC. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Marie Wampler and his step-father, Shannon Wampler of Meadville, PA, a daughter; Jodie Lynn Warden and her husband, Brian of Harvest, Alabama, a son; Edward (JR) Smith Jr. of Decatur, Alabama, a grandson, Brady Warden of Harvest, Alabama, two brothers; Kenneth Smith and his wife, Gale of Pekin, Indiana and Daniel Smith and his wife, Kathy of Burnettsville, Indiana. He is further survived by four nephews. In addition to his father, Lawrence E. Smith, Edward was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Smith and Michael Smith. Family and friends may call on Monday from 6 to 7PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville.
