Edwin J. Wagner Jr.

Edwin J. Wagner Jr., age 91 passed away on June 15, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on August 16, 1924 in Oakland, California, the son of the late Edwin J. Wagner Sr. and Fern Dawson Wagner. He married Thelma Smith Wagner on November 23, 1950.  She preceded him in death in 2011. Edwin was an avid reader, loved talking and socializing to others, watching the news and keeping up with current events. He was a very pleasant, intelligent, and a respected gentleman. He spoke often about his trips between California and Pennsylvania, and how he and his wife enjoyed finding seashells. He taught at the Crawford Central School District from 1967 until he retired in 1986. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Edwin is survived by one sister Irene Dahlbag of Auburn, California. A service will be held on Tuesday, June 28 at 2 PM in Wesbury UMC at College Way. A burial will be held at Blooming Valley Cemetery.
