Eileen Mae Glancy, age 79, of Geneva, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 25 at UPMC-Greenville after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 1, 1936, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth Stehl Koehler. She married Blaine Laverne Glancy on October 15, 1958. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2011. She graduated from Linesville High School in l954. Eileen had been employed at Thrift Drug Store in the Meadville Mall as a pharmacy cashier and she had also worked part time at the Meadville Tribune. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church for 35 years, sang in the choir and also taught Sunday school. She volunteered teaching at the school and cleaning. Eileen loved crocheting, sewing and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Barbara Debruycker and her husband Edward of Meadville, Brenda Rhoades and her husband Ronald of Geneva, Bonnie Hough and her husband Kenneth of Meadville and Betsy Zaker and her husband William of Cochranton; and her son Brad Glancy and his wife Wendy of Utica, PA.; five grandchildren, Brandon Hough and his wife Stacey, Michael Hough and his wife Amanda, Justin Rhoades and his wife Lane, Caleb Glancy, and Faith Glancy; six great-grandchildren Blake and Avery Rhoades; Jazzlyn, Amelia, Kendall and Liam Glancy, a brother; Matthew Koehler and his wife Patricia of Saegertown and a niece and nephew. In addition to her husband Blaine and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Brent. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 6 PM at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA. An additional calling hour will be from 10 AM until time of the funeral service at 11 AM on Monday at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA, with her son-in-law, Pastor Kenneth Hough, of the Watson Run Presbyterian Church, and Pastor Phillipp Thomas of the Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Geneva Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to either the Bible Baptist Church, 11166 Livermore Road, Meadville, PA 16335 or to the Crawford county Hospice, 464 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
