Eleanor Joan Willoughby

Eleanor Joan Willoughby passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014. She was born Eleanor Joan Weisman March 17, 1934 in Harmonsburg, PA, a daughter to the late Norman and Mary Weisman. She married her husband of 60 years, James R. Willoughby on November 6, 1953. Eleanor was a wife, home maker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James R. Willoughby of Meadville, PA; four children, Linda Eaglehouse and her husband, Tom of Greensburg, PA, David Willoughby of Meadville, PA, Donald Willoughby and his wife, Naomi of Saegertown, PA, and Carol McCain of Meadville, PA; a brother, Lawrence Weisman and his wife, Ruth of Albuquerque, New Mexico; several grandchildren, Brian Willoughby, Ian Willoughby and Allan Rounds all of Meadville, PA, Alexandra Eaglehouse of Greensburg, PA, Angel Trace of Euclid, Ohio, Brianna McCain and Hunter McCain both of Meadville, PA. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Holden Rounds, Ellora Rounds and Rhys Rounds all of Meadville, PA. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews in the Meadville area and in New Mexico. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Weisman, a sister, Lillian Spratt, a granddaughter, Shannon Parker and her great-grandson, Kyle Parker. There will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
