Elizabeth Jean "Betty" Percy, age 79 of Linesville and formerly of Meadville, PA and Rock Hill, South Carolina, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 7 at her residence in Linesville, PA. She was born on March 27, 1934 the daughter of the late Victor Jay and Ethel Mae Sloat Taylor. She married Donald Ray Percy. He survives. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and had served as the President of the Ladies WMU Circle at the church and was a dedicated member of the church choir. She had attended the Linesville United Methodist Church, Linesville, PA. She also loved going to garage sales. She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Percy of Rock Hill, South Carolina, her children; Deborah Hall and her husband, James of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Earl Weigle Jr. and his wife, Ala, of Leonardtown, Maryland, and Lisa McGrath and her husband Thomas, of Linesville, PA; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three sisters; Beverly Kreger of Pittsburgh, PA., Carole McQuown and her husband, Randall of Newark, Delaware, and Janice Carpenter and her husband, Dave of Susquehanna, PA. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Louann Weigle Rearick, a great-grandson, Connor Jess McGrath, a great-granddaughter, Melanie Grace Rowland-Jenetta, and by two brothers, Donald Taylor and Jack Taylor. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Dennis Lawton, of the Linesville United Methodist Church, officiating. The committal service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Second Baptist Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
