Ethel Louise Mckalip

June 5, 1930 — June 2, 2019

Ethel Louise McKalip, age 88, of Conneaut Lake, passed away on June 2, 2019, at the Meadville Medical Center.   Ethel was born on June 5, 1930 in Greenville, PA; the daughter of Arthur Wellington Mohr Sr. and Margaret Lucille Hasenplug Mohr.

She and Richard Wes McKalip were married on February 14, 1948; he preceded her in death on August 12, 2011.  Ethel graduated from Penn High School, Greenville, PA in 1947 and went on to work at AVTEX in Meadville for 17 years; subsequently worked at C & J Plastics for 20 years, until her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake.  Ethel loved to clean---especially churches and banks!  Ethel loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

It is noted here that Ethel donated a kidney to her son-Danny.

Surviving Ethel are:

A daughter-Cindy Studenc of Black Mountain, N.C.

Sons- Richard Jr. (Bonnie) McKalip of Hadley, PA, Robert (Genevieve) McKalip of Conneaut Lake, and Jim (Elaine) McKalip of Meadville.

Grandchildren: Shellie and Ron McKalip; Carrie Boozer; Kelly Varner; Melanie Honeycutt; David Mead; Lisa Fox; Kylee McKalip; Kelsie McKalip; Jamie McKalip; Josh, Jeremy, and Hannah Murkens; Tyler McKalip; Doug McKalip.

Great Grandchildren: Evan and Hailey Boozer; Taylor and Peyton Varner; Andalyn ,  Andrew, Audrey, and Addyson McKalip; Brenden and Brooke McKalip; Carson Honeycutt; Preston, Ayden, and Lauren Fox; Kaylee and Abigail Duncan; and Ivan Keller.

Also surviving are sisters: Phyllis Thompson of Greenville; Donna Woods of Mercer; and a brother William Mohr of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ethel in death were her parents, husband, a son Daniel; also sisters Betty Miller, Norma Jean Small; and brothers: Robert Mohr and Art Mohr.

Visiting hours with Mrs. McKalip’s family will be Friday, June 7 th 2019 from 11 am until 2 pm. A funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, with the Rev. Father Dennis Chuldinzinski Officiating.   Visiting and services will be held at the Dickson Funeral Home 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake, Rocco R. Tedesco III Supervisor.
