Eva Mae Curtis

October 28, 1927 — September 10, 2018

Eva Mae Curtis, 90, of Conneaut Lake, passed away September 20, 2018 at Meadville Medical Center.  She was born on October 28, 1927 in Seward, Nebraska to Herschel and Bertha (Neagley) Blacker.  She married Vernon Lynn Curtis. He preceded her in death in February 1981. Eva was a hard worker and a wonderful mother whom provided for her family.  She was a loving and generous lady.  She was born and raised in Nebraska during the first phase of her life, she moved to California and raised her children there during the second phase of her life and then moved to Conneaut Lake where she lived with her daughter until she passed away.  She loved Conneaut Lake for the peace and serenity.  Eva enjoyed her life and spending time with her friends.  She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She also enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles and bingo. Eva is survived by three daughters; Michelle Curtis of Utah, Rebecca (Jack) Colonna of Utah and Shirley Rowles of Conneaut Lake, PA; three sons; Robert (Denise) Curtis, James Curtis, and Jay (Christine) Curtis all of Utah; one sister Jane (Russ) Green of Arizona; a son-in-law John Rowles of Conneaut Lake, PA.; and she left a legacy of many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon;  and her brothers and sisters. A private graveside service will take place in Mapleton, Utah.
