Evelyn Gosnell

Evelyn M. Gosnell, age 87, of Meadville, PA passed away on Thursday May 2, 2024 at Crawford Care Center. She was born on December 25, 1936 in Meadville, PA to the late Wallace and Mildred (Kightlinger) Mattocks.  She married Russell Gosnell.  He preceded her in death on March 2, 2013.

Evelyn graduated from Maplewood High School.  She was a housewife and raised their 8 children. She also worked on the family dairy farm.

She was a former member of the Skeltontown Bible Church.  She loved her flower gardens.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Wallace “Wally” Gosnell, Russell Gosnell and his wife, Charlene, Floyd Gosnell, Evelyn Young and her husband, Charles, Brenda Muckinhaupt, Paul Gosnell and his wife, Sue and Barby Confer and her husband, Dave; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and her sister, Kathy Rutter and her husband, Paul.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie McHenry and Elsie King and her brothers, Raymond Mattocks and Charles Mattocks.

There will be no public services.
