Florence A. (Bahurinsky) Mckelvey

Florence "Sis" Bahurinsky McKelvey, age 89, of Meadville, PA passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the home of her daughter with her family by her side. Florence was born February 14, 1925 in Meadville, PA the daughter of the late Harry and Florence Devenny Harding. She had married John Bahurinsky on April 20, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1981. She subsequently married John McKelvey on July 8, 2007. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2007. Florence was a Life Long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Meadville, PA and was a member of the Altar Guild and the Bell Choir at the church. She was very active in the Soup Kitchen. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #44 Golden Crown in Meadville, PA. She enjoyed golfing, working in her yard, and loved spending time with her dog, Fred. She is survived by a daughter; Shirley Reisenweber and her husband Ken of Meadville, PA, three grandchildren; Emily Reisenweber of Meadville, PA, John Reisenweber and his wife Erin of York, PA and Meg Reisenweber of Meadville, PA; a great grandson; Cillian Reisenweber of York, PA, a sister; Marion Griggs of Conneaut Lake, PA. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews and a special friend and caregiver, Sandy Paden of Meadville, PA. Florence was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. Family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 649 Park Avenue, Meadville, PA with Rev. Benjamin Travis, officiating. Burial will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Township.
