Florence G. James

            Florence G. (Sally) James, age 95, of Conneautville passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community.             She was born on June 13, 1921 in Smicksburg, PA. The daughter of the late Samuel B. Good and Melda E. Davis. She married Joseph C. James on April 15, 1944. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1984.             Florence graduated from Indiana High School in Indiana, PA. During her years of employment Florence worked at Peebles, and was the manager at Ormand’s in Meadville. She attended the High Street Community Church in Conneaut Lake. Florence enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, doing latch hooks, and playing cards.             Florence is survived by a son: Robert James and his wife Helen of Pearl, MS, a son-in-law: James Griggs of Conneaut Lake, six grandchildren: Debbie Stone and her husband Kevin of Vermont, Melissa Lueck and her husband Dan of Texas, David Griggs and Kevin Cox of Washington, John Hodge and Todd Oothoudt, Dr. Richard (Rick) Griggs and his wife Michelle of North Carolina, and Pablo Garza and his wife Blanca of Mexico, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Florence is further survived by numerous friends.             In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her daughter: Joceen Griggs, her daughter in law: Linda Hodge James, a step-mother: Myrtle Good, and three brothers: Carlton, Ray, Stanley and Ernest Good.             A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
