Florence Phillips

Florence Phillips, 79, of Meadville, passed away October 31, 2018 at her residence.  She was born November 6, 1938 in Palermo, Italy to the late Joseph and Nancy Policani.  She married Michael Phillips, who preceded her in death.  Florence was a graduate of Brooklyn High School in Brooklyn, NY.  She attended St. Agatha’s church.  She was a housewife and loved cooking and baking.  She loved animals and especially loved having chihuahuas.  She is survived by two sons, John T. Phillips and Anthony Phillips;  two daughters, Roxanne Phillips and Nancy T. Napoli  all of Meadville; six grandchildren, Florence Brown, Victoria Phllips, Priscilla Phillips Araujo, Courtney Phillips, Michael Sanders, and Nick Phillips; five great-grandchildren, Brittany Burdick, Alexandria Brown, Katelyn Brown, Sophia Araujo and Gianna Araujo; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Carmella Policani of Italy and one brother; Gieuseppe (Carol) Policani of Columbus, OH. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Antonio Policani, her son-in-law, John Sanders and her daughter-in-law, Lori Phillips. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, November 3 from 12- 1p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home.   A memorial service will be held immediately following at 1 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to HATHEWAY-TEDESCO FUNERAL HOME, 614 BALDWIN ST., MEADVILLE, PA.
