Floyd William James Peters, beloved son of Linda A. (Leslie) and the late William F. Peters passed away September 22, 2019.
He was born in Meadville on April 13, 1985 and graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in 2005. Floyd obtained several Welding Certificates and worked for ERA Richmond Real Estate Service.
Floyd had a variety of interests and hobbies and will be known to his family and friends as an excellent chef, expert gardener (especially asparagus and garlic), a craftsman, fisherman, an avid reader of History and a Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. Floyd was a big hearted, compassionate soul to humans and animals, especially to his 3 dogs. His church of choice was “the love of the land”.
In addition to his mother, Linda A. Peters, Floyd is survived by his half- brother Donald A. Osborne II (Lorna) of California and half-sister, Leslie D. Berger (Rick) of Meadville, his aunts and uncles, Kathy Sue (Richard) Young, Harry (Susan) Leslie, Sondra (David) Curth, Gretchen (George) Barth and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins who will miss him immensely.
In addition to his father, William (Bill), Floyd was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Kathleen Leslie, his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Mary Peters, aunts and uncles- Jim Leslie, Nancy Todd, T. J. Peters (Frances) and his dogs Pepper, Buck and Butch.
Family and friends are invited on Wednesday, October 2 from 5-8 pm at Azalea House B&B, 874 North Main St. Ext. Meadville to join in a toast to celebrate as per Floyd’s wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Rd., Meadville, PA 16335 or the Meadville Log Cabin Fund, City Treasurer 894 Diamond Park, Meadville, PA 16335 of which Floyd at the age of 3 and his Father helped build.
