Frances Patrichia Miller-Kimple, 92 years young, went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2020. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a life-long resident of Fifth Ward in Meadville, PA and was born on January 30, 1928 to Anthony and Nellie Miller.
She married Roland “Pete” Kimple on October 2, 1948 and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1989. She will be reunited with her four children; a baby, Shayrn Kimple, two sons, Robert and Dennis Kimple, a daughter, Rolanda Chaney, a granddaughter, Jessica Rose and many other loved ones.
Survivors include her brother, Robert Miller; her son, David Kimple and significant other, Missie; her granddaughter, Amy Kellerman and husband, Kyle, children Addy, Dakota and Jordan; granddaughter, Stephanie Kimple, and fiancée, Jason and children, Anaveya, Brielle, Raven and Jason Jr.; granddaughter, Amber Kimple and significant other, Nat and children, Mia, Jade and Halen; a grandson, Russell Chaney and significant other, Jacqueline; grandson, James Kimple, wife Dana and their son Cooper; daughters in law Shirley Kimple and Denise Hornstrom; sister in law, Donna Eckart and her husband, William; Great granddaughter, Josie Bigam, husband, Matt and son, Mason; Great grandson, Todd Millhouse; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Skip.
Fran attended Third District Elementary School in Fifth Ward, and from 1934-1937 she was recognized by the Common Wealth of PA Department of Public Instruction for having perfect attendance. She attended Meadville High School until her mother’s passing when she withdrew at the age of 17. She then went to work at the American Viscose to help support the family. She returned to school to complete her education and earned her GED from Saegertown High School in 1979. Fran was employed at Talon, plant 7 for over 40 years until her retirement.
Fran had a strong faith in the Lord that helped her through many challenges and hardships. She was a member of Saint Brigid’s Church. She enjoyed going out to the Crawford County Correctional Facility to carry the message of the Lord to others. She was a member of the Keystone Hose Women’s Auxiliary, VFW Post 2006 and as a breast cancer survivor; she attended the annual Relay for Life events.
Besides spending time with her family, Fran’s pastimes included watching WWF Wresting, Jeopardy, Wheel of Future and Days of Our Lives. She also cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers with her Terrible Towel! She would wake up at the crack of dawn for the Meadville Tribune to conquer the cross-word puzzles and Cryptogram. Fran had a passion for collecting porcelain dolls and cooking, as she was known for her delicious pigs in the blanket.
During the summer you could find Fran sitting on her back porch, enjoying the sunshine and having conversations with friends and neighbors. Fran had a zest for life and will be remembered for her wit, and humor, her grace, and words of wisdom. She was a strong woman and will be deeply missed by all that crossed her path.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, which will be announced.
