Francis Earl Mumford

Francis Earl Mumford, age 81, of Crawford County Care Center, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 after saying his prayers at the care center. He was born February 11, 1933 at home in Greenwood Township, Crawford County, PA, the son of the late William P. and Ruby Belle (Hazen) Mumford. He was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed working in the garden and on the farm especially being around the horses. He loved playing the game, Connect 4. He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Hudson of Salisbury, Maryland, and Jeanie Mumford of Meadville, PA; two brothers, Victor Mumford and his wife, Nancy of Meadville, PA and Donald Mumford of Forestville, New York. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Mumford, Kenny Mumford and Marshall Mumford, and by three sisters, Lila Morian, Mildred Russell and Norma Mumford, and a half-sister, Adabelle Sackett. The family extends their grateful thanks to the Crawford County Care Center for the tender, loving, care given to Francis. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
