Frank Delzotti, age 79, of Meadville, PA passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Marquette Hospice House. He was born August 18, 1937 in East Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph Delzotti and Martha Sue Lariccia Delzotti. He married Anita Eileen Gardner on May 13, 1961. She survives. He was employed as a Yard Master by New York Central, Penn Central, Con-Rail and Norfolk-Southern Railroads, where his coworkers knew him as “Del” and “Frankie D” and in between and on layoffs he worked for the River Terminal and Cuyahoga Valley Railroads in Cleveland, Ohio. Frank was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp having served from April 23, 1954 until April 22, 1957. Frank was an active member and church worker volunteer with the Living Waters Church, Meadville. He also served as a lay-speaker, a deacon and board member and did volunteering work within the Assembly of God Church. He was a DJ with WCVJ Radio in Jefferson, Ohio. He was a member of the ICC Meadville, the American Legion, a volunteer driver for the DAV and enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling. Frank is survived by his wife, Anita Eileen Delzotti of Meadville, a daughter: Susan Diane Stiverson and her husband Robert, a son: Joseph Delzotti and his wife Sheryl of Cortland, Ohio, two grandchildren: Jacquelyn Rendall and her husband Nickolas and Nickalas Mezinger, a son in law: John Mezinger of Colebrook, Ohio. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a daughter: Clara Marie Mezinger, a sister: Antonetia Federico, and by two brothers: Nickolas Federico and Frank Federico. Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday from 12 noon until 2 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville. All are welcome to attend the funeral service on Friday at 2 PM, with the Pastor Ray Martinez of the Living Waters Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Township, with Full Military Honors conducted by VFW Post 2006.
