Frank L. Smith

Frank L. Smith of Linesville, PA passed away at his home on Wednesday January 25, 2023 with his family by his side.   He was born on January 11, 1935 at his family farm in Venango, PA to the late Homer and Lena (Lewis) Smith.  He married Marlene Carruba on May 29, 1976.  She survives.

Frank was a 1953 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School.  He retired from Channellock after 30 years of employment in the machine shop.  He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church.

Frank was a loving father and husband.  He was a hard worker.  He enjoyed gardening and loved working with his tractors around the house.  He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife of 46 years, Marlene, he is survived by his daughter, Crystal Schafer and his sons, Jeffery Smith, Michael Smith, Douglas Smith, Larry Riley and Michael Riley; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; his nephew, Lee Freeman and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters and brothers.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday January 30, 2023 from 3-6 pm at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. 2 ^nd St., Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.  There will be a time of sharing at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.  Frank will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
