Franklin Delano McNulty (Frank) passed away October 19, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on December 15, 1936, to Lucille Young McNulty McMillan Laver and George McNulty.

A lifelong resident of Meadville, Frank graduated from Meadville High School, then immediately enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves while beginning his career as a Lab Technician at the American Viscose/FMC (later Avtex Fibers). With the recommendation and support of his employer, Frank attended Allegheny College from 1961 to 1965, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a Minor in Math. He became a leader within the Viscose Chem Lab, ultimately serving as the Manager of the Acetic Anhydride-Diketene manufacturing unit. Frank dedicated 30 years to Avtex Fibers until the Meadville plant closed. After, he spent 19 years owning real estate, then sold his properties to Mast Brothers, while continuing to work with the new property owners until May 2025.

Frank was known for his love of athletic pursuits and his talent for building. He personally built his own recreation boat, hosting beloved family and friends for many weekend boat outings and picnics at Conneaut Lake. He was an excellent swimmer and loved water skiing. Frank also individually built an A-frame house purely for his enjoyment. He was a dedicated bowler and an active member of the Meadville Ski Club, taking memorable ski trips to Colorado and other favorite locations. He will be fondly remembered for his love of family, thoughtful countenance, and his ongoing love of science and research.

Frank is survived by nieces and nephews, Dan McNulty, Denise Harry (Bill), Kelly Wade (Tom), Lynell Durish (John), Gail McNulty-Schoen (Don), Jim McNulty (Lisa Monnin), Marc McNulty, Gary McNulty Jr. (Donnell), Bill McNulty (Stephanie), Carla Teasdale (Sam), and his sister-in-law, Joyce McNulty.
