Fred Allen Stover

May 13, 1939 — January 22, 2018

Fred Allen Stover, age 78 of Boalsburg, PA passed away suddenly in his sleep at his daughter Catherine Weaver’s home in Conneaut Lake, PA.             He was born May 13, 1939 in Lock Haven, PA, the son of the late Luther and Fannie Nicholas Stover. On June 8, 1984 he married Rina Harriger in State College, PA.  He was a very loving husband, who took wonderful care of his wife for their 33 years together.             He graduated from Sugar Valley High School in the Class of 1956. In his younger years, he worked at Piper Aircraft and as a door to door milkman.  He worked with his brother Gary doing building and remodeling.  He last worked at numerous commercial construction companies retiring 12 years ago from Cardinal Commercial in State College.             Fred was an extremely talented carpenter including building furniture.  He enjoyed hunting, going to music jams while at their home in Florida, country music and spending time with his family.             Fred is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rina Stover, Boalsburg, two daughters: Christy Hale (David), Apison, TN, Catherine Weaver (Tom), Conneaut Lake, PA, a son: Chad Stover of Ohio, four grandchildren: Austin Hale, Ryan Weaver, Caitlin Ricey (Patrick), Wesley Hale (Jessica); one great-granddaughter: Adalynn Ricey, who he adored, two sisters: Connie Wylie (Jack), Miami, FL, Nancy Welshans (Bob), Englewood, FL, a brother: Gary Stover, Tylersville, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.             In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a brother: Lee Stover, a sister: Beverly Breon, and a sister-in-law: Margie Stover.             There will be no public service.  Anyone wishing to remember Fred can send donations to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
