Frederick Ramey

Frederick E. Ramey, age 86, of Meadville, PA passed away on Friday August 18, 2023 at his home after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.  He was born on March 12, 1937 to the late Paul Ramey and Ethel (Brown) Ramey Humes.  He married Linda Pearsol on July 3, 1986.  She survives.

Fred was a 1955 graduate of Meadville High School.  He worked at Talon for 30 years and then at Leech Carbide until his retirement.  He was of the Protestant Faith.

Fred was a member of the ICC, the Meadville Club, VFW Post #2006, West Mead #2 and a former member of the Eagles and the Elks.  He played modified softball and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and Indians.

In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by two daughters, Cathy Kightlinger and Paula J. McDuff both of Meadville, PA and his three sons, Michael Ramey and his wife, Jennifer of Gainesville, FL, Edward G. Marin of Meadville, PA and Kaine Marin and his wife, Melissa of Milton, PA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Janet L. McKinney of Meadville, PA and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Carol Ramey and Debra Burger; his sister, Delores Stewart; his brother, Ronald Ramey and his grandson, Dustin Delo.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
