Frederick P Whistler

Fred was a 1969 graduate of Meadville High School. He married Rebecca Hall on November 12, 1994; she survives. Fred worked for GE for 16 years; US Postal Service rural carrier for 23 years; Wal-Mart for 3 years; and also 2nd District Elementary School. He enlisted in the US Air Force in January 1970; he served four years in transportation abroad in Thailand. He had attended Rock of Grace Church in Kinsman, OH. He was a member of Wednesday night GE Management Bowling League for 34 years; Big Ball Sto-Pitch League for 36 years; and was pitcher for several teams including Ash St. Pub, Cousins Rendevous, and Sunflower Club. He enjoyed spending time with his children, including watching his sons play hockey and his daughter play soccer. He was an avid Pittsburgh fan and loved watching the Steelers win Super Bowls and the Penguins bring home the Stanley Cup. One of his greatest days was meeting Jerome Bettis.
