Gail Peterson

Gail C. Peterson, age 66, of Meadville, PA passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on June 1, 1950 in Meadville, PA to the late Thelma and Clair Peterson. Gail graduated from Meadville High School in 1968. He married Janet Troglione on June 14, 1975. She survives. Gail worked for Glenn Peterson Floors & Furniture since he was 18 years old. At 21, he was VP/GM and ran his own crew. He loved to work with the public. Gail was an avid hunter and angler. He loved to fish, especially small tournaments with Mark, Chuck, and Jeremy Szitas for the bragging rights of Cole Drive. He was a pro angler in the United Way tournament for many years and he fished on many state teams for Crawford County Bass Masters Club. He also won angler of the year in 1984. Gail was a member of the VFW 2006, Station 3, and B.A.S.S. The loves of his life were his wife and two children. He is survived by his wife Janet, a son, Dr. Vincent Peterson and his wife Dr. Jennifer Chan of Ormond Beach, FL; a daughter, Alevia Peterson and her companion Oliver Thomson of Melbourne, Australia; a brother, Gerald Peterson and his wife Elaine of Meadville, PA; a sister Joanne Richards and her husband Dave of Meadville, PA; along with many nieces and nephews. Family and Friends are welcome to call on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 North Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA from 4 to 7 PM, with additional calling hours Friday from 11 to 1 PM.
