Gary Lou Ackerman

Gary Lou Ackerman, age 58 of Highway 18, Conneaut Lake, PA died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his residence with his sisters at his side. He was born on September 21, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Glenn V. and Ruth J. Ackerman. He had been employed as an Auto-Auction Representative and Coordinator of Lake View Ford, Conneaut Lake, PA. He had served in the United States Army. He was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed Golfing, Fishing, Bowling, and Watching movies. Surviving are two sisters, Terry Jacobs and her husband, Craig of Humboldt, TN and Ruth Wolfe and her husband, Bill of Las Vegas, NV, five nephews, Craig Jacobs, Shaun Jacobs and Chad Jacobs, and Shane Thoennes, and Shannon Ackerman, and a niece, Bethany Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn A. Ackerman . The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 2 to 3 PM followed by the Memorial Service at 3PM with Pastor David Bault, of Abundant Life Fellowship, officiating, at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, Rocco R. Tedesco III, Supervisor, 130 N Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16335. Full Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 2006 on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine Street, Meadville, PA. 16335.
