Gary Lewis Barnes

Gary L. Barnes, 75, of Westford, PA, lost his battle to cancer on July 30, 2018, surrounded by his family.  He was born on March 22, 1943 in Bangor, ME to the late Howard L. Barnes and Doris E. (Philbrick) Barnes.  He married Carol Ann (Irons) Barnes on September 16, 1961 in Newbury, OH, she survives. Gary first worked for Cleveland Freightlines of Cleveland, OH.  He was then employed as Police Chief in Burton, OH.  He then went on to work for Manfredi Transport of Newbury, OH.  He then went on to be a self-employed, owner/operator truck driver. Gary is survived by two daughters, Kim Gallo and her husband John of Conneaut Lake; Wendy Bosma of Meadville; two daughters-in-law, Donna Barnes of Conneaut, OH and NaMarie Barnes of Conneaut, OH; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Rand Barnes of Jamestown, PA and Jay Barnes and his wife, Nancy of Palm Bay, FL and a sister-in-law, Patricia Barnes of Dorset, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Barnes; three sons, Robert L. Barnes, Scott A. Barnes and Gary L. Barnes, Jr.; and a son-in-law, James Bosma.
