Gary H. Clark, age 55, of Conneaut Lake, passed away 5-23-2015, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh With his wife Penny, at his side. Gary and Penny had fought a long battle with Gary's heart disease. Gary was born on August 19, 1959, a son of Donald Eugene Clark and Joan Fay Henry Clark, they survive and after living for many years in Conneaut Lake, they now reside in Erie. Gary and Penny Button were married July 12, 1986; Penny survives Gary , they were proud to have been married for 28 years. Gary was a member of the Conneaut Lake High School Class of 1977; and had earned a degree in Theater and Communications from Westminster College in 1986. Hosted a radio talk show on local WMGW for 10 years. He then worked for Senator Bob Robbins for 18 years. He then worked for DEP for a short while. Gary was the Vice Chairman of the Crawford County Republican Party. He was a volunteer fireman for 20 years in Conneaut Lake. Gary was instrumental in the beginnings of the Conneaut Lake Ambulance Service. Was the radio voice of Meadville Bulldog Hockey for 27 years, along with being the voice of Bulldog Hockey Gary was the voice over for many radio advertisements; he hosted "Sports Closeup" on Armstrong Cable; he was an avid supporter of Cleveland sports-the Browns and the Indians. Gary was an animal lover and especially loved his cat "Rocco". He had a dry sense of humor and could be very witty. He enjoyed time with his nieces and nephews. Surviving Gary are: His parents: Donald and Joan Clark of Erie; His wife Penny of Conneaut Lake; His 2 brothers: Mark Henry Clark and his wife Lisa, of Coshocton, Ohio and Dr. Neil Clark and his wife Susan of Lancaster, PA. Gary enjoyed being an uncle to several nieces , nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Gary is also survived by 2 brothers-in-law, and their wives: Christopher (Alex) Button of Vienna, VA and Keith (Valerie) Button of Conneaut Lake; and his father-in-law John Button of Conneaut Lake. A visitation for Gary will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015from 4-7 PM at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake A funeral service for Gary will be held on Friday, Mar 29, 2015, at 11AM at the Presbyterian Church in Conneaut Lake, 145 N. Fifth Street, with the Reverend Mark Frailey, Pastor (and a close friend of Gary and Penny) officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church, the Crawford County Humane Society, or the American Heart Association. Gary Clark will be laid to rest in the Cemetery at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church, Conneaut Lake. Gary Clark's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake- Rocco R. Tedesco III supervisor.
