Gary Lewis

Gary A. Lewis, age 78, of Cambridge Springs, PA passed away surrounded by his family on

Sunday, October 25, 2026 after an extended illness. He was born on October 7, 1948 in

Erie, PA to the late Elton and Helena Lewis. He married Peggy Sherwood on November 22,

1971.

Gary proudly served his country in the US Army from 1968-1970. He then spent his life

working numerous jobs to provide for his family. He was a “jack-of-all trades” and worked

hard his entire life.

He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and being with his family. He also thoroughly

enjoyed all of Peggy’s great cooking.

In addition, to his loving wife of 55 years, Gary is survived by his daughters, April Yanc and

her husband, John of LaBelle, FL and Michelle Herr and her husband, Dave of Conneaut

Lake, PA; his grandchildren; Mikey, Rayne, Trinity, Ryan and Kyle, his three sisters Ramona,

Madeline and Sharon and his beloved hunting companions.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Elton Jr. and Richard.

There will be no public services. Friends and family are encouraged to celebrate and

memorialize Gary’s life in their own way.
