Gaylord Henderson

June 18, 1936 — March 21, 2017

            Gaylord ”Bucky” Henderson age 80, of Meadville, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Marquette Hospice House.             He was born June 18, 1936 in Erie, PA the son of the late Howard Wilson Henderson and Annabell Sophia Ebert Henderson.  He married Gladys Williams on December 11, 1955.  She preceded him in death on March 17, 2007.             He graduated from East High School in Erie.   In 1955, he started working at the Erie Lackawanna Railroad as a flagmen and conductor.  He retired from Conrail in 1996.  Bucky was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake, PA, he was an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed traveling in his motorhome             Gaylord is survived by two daughters: Barbara A. Fink and her husband Richard of Meadville, and Janet M. Greenawald of Meadville, a son: Gerald E. Henderson and his wife Brenda of Meadville, six grandchildren:  Jody Waldermarson, Darcie Snyder, Dana Hepler, Michael Greenawald, Gerald Henderson, Gerred Henderson, 14 great grandchildren, two sisters: Connie Michalski and her husband Joe of Erie, and Mellody Smith of Erie, a brother: Roland Henderson and his wife Jeannie of Erie.  He is further survived by many nices and nephews.             In addition to his parents and his wife, Gaylord was preceded in death by a son-in-law: William Greenawald in 2009, a grandson: Geremy Henderson, his sister: Joyce Joint and a brother-in-law: George Smith.             Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA             An additional calling hour will be held on Saturday from 10 Am until time of the funeral service at 11 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 240 N Third Street, Conneaut Lake, with the Rev. Jay Sterling and Pastor Dave Brumagin officiating.
