George Luper Jr.

George Benton Luper, Jr., age 87, of Meadville, PA passed away on Wednesday August 23, 2023.  He was born on November 27, 1935 in Geneva, PA to the late George and Lena Luper.  He married the love of his life, Eileen Munson on July 19, 1955.  She preceded him in death on June 24, 1998.

George was a proud United States Navy veteran.  He was a former toolmaker and restaurant owner.  He enjoyed dancing, vacations, going out to dinner and most importantly, spending time with his grandson, Gunnar.

George had an inseparable bond between his son, Doug Luper and his wife, Heather and their son, Gunnar.  Gunnar was his life and meant everything to him.  His favorite moments were spending time with him and doing things along with vacations to Florida.  He loved taking him to Disney and Sea World.  He will be greatly missed by them.  He also loved his family pet, “Macky.”

He is also survived by another son, Scott Luper and family and a daughter, Cindy Corner and family.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Jane Luper; his grandson, Chad Luper Hartzell and his sister, Sally Smith.

George will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Eileen at Hiland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA with a private Veteran’s service.
