Gerald E. Doubet

Gerald E. Doubet, age, 65 of Meadville, PA passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Meadville Medical Center, after a brief illness. He was born March 18, 1950 in Meadville, PA, the son of the late Raymond Doubet and Marian Girardt Doubet. He married Jo Ann Cadwallader in l997. She survives. Gerald graduated from Saegertown High School and the Erie Business Center. He had been employed as a computer programmer at Greenleaf Corporation for 32 years retiring in 2012. He was an avid reader and enjoyed poetry. He made lampwork glass beads, worked with stained glass, and enjoyed woodworking. He loved playing Chess. He is survived by his wife; Jo Ann Doubet of Meadville, PA, a daughter: Koren Rae Emerick and her husband Jody, a son Daniel Edward Doubet and his wife Danielle, two grandchildren: Dashiell Doubet and Devereaux Doubet, five brothers: Thomas Doubet and his wife Charleen of Edinboro, PA, Gene Doubet and his wife Candace of Conneautville, PA, Joseph Doubet and his wife Lyn of Guys Mills, PA, Paul Doubet and his wife, Monique of Cambridge Springs, PA and John Doubet and his wife Susan of Meadville, PA, three sisters: Linda Doubet of Meadville, PA, Mary Phillips and her husband Carl of Oswego, New York, and Dorothy Walk and her husband Bob of Meadville, PA. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents. The family extends a sincere thank you to Dr. Ron Unice and his staff and to the staff of 2N and ICU of Meadville Medical Center for the care and compassion that Gerald and his family received. Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Private burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery.
