Gladys Irene Keene, age 92, of Wesbury and formerly of Conneaut Lake, PA, died at Wesbury, Saturday, July 20, 2013 She was born on December 17, 1920 in Franklin, PA., the daughter of the late Charles W. and Flora E. (Simons) Myers. She married Ralph Keene on April 7, 1944. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1983. She was a l939 Graduate of Franklin High School. She was an Avon Representative for ten years. She was of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed knitting and sewing. Surviving her is a daughter, Margaret I. Marsh of Kokomo, IN; a son, Kenneth E. Keene of Meadville, PA., two grandchildren, Denise Hurd of Providence, RI, and Anthony Marsh and his wife, Vanessa of Kokomo, IN; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Marsh. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Hollabaugh and Ruth Ewing. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday and from 10 to 11 AM on Thursday at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA. The funeral service will follow at 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Jay Sterling and Pastor David Brumagin, both of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
