Glenn Austin Nottingham, 87, of Adamsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Hamot Hospital, Erie. He was born March 4, 1925 in Adamsville, a son of Loring Nottingham and Elizabeth Herner Nottingham. Glenn married Edna Virginia Osborn on November 18, 1949 and she survives. Glenn was a union brick mason for over 40 years. He enlisted in the US Army to serve his country during World War II, earning three combat service stars and a combat infantry badge with the 99th Infantry Division, 393th Infantry Regiment in Europe. He attended Fallowfield United Methodist church. Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, reading westerns and the Bible, traveling to his hunting camp, helping others, and most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edna Nottingham of Adamsville; a daughter Cindy Temple and her husband Gary of Hartstown; a son Ronald Nottingham and his wife Bonnie of Conneaut Lake; three grandchildren, Karie Temple-Bloom, Derek Nottingham, and Jarod Nottingham; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 11 siblings, and a grandson Corey Temple. Calling hours will be Friday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake. Additional calling hour will be Saturday from 10am to 11am at the Fallowfield United Methodist Church, 3993 Leach Road, Atlantic, with the funeral service to follow at 11am officiated by Pastor Karen Kostur of the church.
