Glenn Willmarth

February 12, 1948 — May 13, 2020

Glenn A. Willmarth was born in Meadville, PA on February 12, 1948 to the late Earl H. and Goldie Mae (Zimmer) Willmarth.  He completed his earthly journey on May 13, 2020.

Glenn was a graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School (MASH.)  He married Debra Heckman, who preceded him in death.

Until his retirement, he worked at several tool/machine shops in the local area.

Glenn was an avid hunter, getting a deer every year; thus earning the title of “deerslayer” by his family and friends.  Glenn and others took a hunting trip out West and he returned with his antelope.  He also has several other mounted trophies.

He is survived by his sister, Susie M. Taylor of Cochranton, PA; daughters, Amber Willmarth of Greenville, PA and April Hughes of Hermitage, PA and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Per Glenn’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.  A public memorial service will be planned for a future date.

The family wishes to thank Cleveland Clinic, Yolanda Barco Oncology Institute, Marquette Hospice House, Meadville Medical Center and Doctor Paul Oyler for their excellent care.  They also wish to extend a special thank-you to Glenn’s long-time friend, Leslie Irwin for his caring assistance during Glenn’s extended illness.  Also, a special thank you to his close neighbor and friend, David Tobin.

Memorial contributions may be made in Glenn’s name to Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institue, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd., Meadville, PA 16335; Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335 or Cleveland Clinic, 950 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195.

Please share memories and condolences with the family on Glenn’s online guestbook at www.hatheway-tedesco.com .
