Grace Carroll

Grace M. Carroll, age 81, of Venango, PA passed away May 20, 2020 after an extended illness.  She was born August 1, 1938 in Irwin, PA to the late David C. and Goldie L. (Griffith) Johnston.

She was the food service supervisor at the State Correctional Institution of Cambridge Springs.

Grace was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Cambridge Springs, PA.

She attended the Edinboro YMCA for exercise classes.  She enjoyed teaching knitting at the senior centers in both Meadville and Cambridge Springs and she also enjoyed bowling.  Grace belonged to the Eat and Travel Club in Meadville, PA.

Grace is survived by two daughters, Regina L. Smith of Westville, IN and Marcella A. Beckman and her husband, Robert of Cambridge Springs, PA and four sons, James T. Carroll and his wife, Rebecca of Venango, PA, Eugene W. Carroll, Jr. and his wife, Jessica of Kouts, IN, Robert A. Carroll of Venango, PA and David E. Carroll and his wife, Millie of Meadville, PA; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; one sister, Betty L. Fayes and her husband, Ray of Houston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant grandsons, J.T. Carroll and Robert Carroll, and a great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Faith Carroll.

Friends and family are invited to call at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335  on Friday, May 22, 2020 from 1-3 p.m.  A service will take place at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Tommy O’Leary of Cambridge Springs Presbyterian Church officiating.
