Gregory A. Gaus

Gregory A. Gaus, age 63, of Meadville, PA passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Erie, PA He was born August 20, 1951 in Hermitage, PA the son of Mary Lee Linsenbigler Gaus and the late John E. Gaus. He married Cherryl McFadden on February 26, 1972. She survives. Gregory graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School. He had been employed for 30 years at Channellock Inc. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed watching real life detective drama movies and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with the grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Cherryl Gaus of Meadville, PA, his mother: Mary Gaus of Concord, North Carolina,a son: Christopher Gaus and his wife Kelly of Greencastle, PA, a daughter: Kimberly L. Gaus of Meadville, PA, six grandchildren: Dylan Martin, Alyssa Gaus, Annika Gaus, and Dalls Gaus all of Greencastle, PA, Jonah Gaus of Meadville, PA and Ava A. Bish-Gaus of Georgia, a brother: John Gaus and his wife Linda of Ohio, a sister: Tamara Farzalo and her husband Steve of North Carolina He is further survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA All are welcome to attend the funeral service at 8 PM on Thursday with the Rev. Marshall Lilly, Chaplain with the Crawford County Hospice, officiating. Private burial will be in the St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.
