Gregory Hawkins

Gregory Lee Hawkins, 62 of Meadville, PA went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 13, 2021. He was born on December 8, 1958 to Joseph Lee Hawkins, Catherine Reagle, and step-mother Ruby Hawkins.

He was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind. He was a member of the Shalico Cowboys and Shotgun bands.  Gregory had a love for music and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Greg loved country music and writing his own songs.

Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lee Hawkins; his sister, Tina Hawkins and niece, Cami Copeland.

Gregory is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda; his mother, Catherine Reagle; two sons, Gregory Allen Hawkins and Joseph Lawrence Hawkins and his wife, Jacquelyn; one sister, Angela Hawkins; two brothers, Aubrey Hawkins and Donald Haeger; four grandchildren, James, Hope, Jacob, and Jonam and many nieces and nephews. He was a friend to all.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 16 from 4-6 p.m. at Hathaway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  A service will be held at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to The School for the Blind and Deaf, PO Box 2069, Staunton, VA 24402, Keystone Blind Association of Meadville, 312 Chestnut St. #103 Meadville, PA 1635, or The Lions Club of Meadville, PA.
