Herbert L. Ittell Jr

Herbert L. Ittel, Jr., age 93, of Atlantic, PA passed away on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 at the Meadville Medical Center. He was born in Pittsburgh on August 22, 1921, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Herbert (Mary Simpson) Ittel, Sr. Herbert was a driver, salesman, for the Otto Ice Cream Co. Mrs. Ittel (Rita Brinner) passed July 9, 2010. He was a highly decorated Veteran of the U. S. Army, 26th Division. Herbert L. Ittel Jr. served with distinction in the European Theater of Operations, and as such was awarded 2 Purple Hearts, and 2 Bronze Stars. He will take to his grave, schrapnel (in his shoulder) from the battlefield. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: John and Karen Ittel of Atlantic, PA. Herbert will be interred with his wife, and a daughter, Linda Wulfkuhle, in the Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, PA Private Funeral Arrangements are in the care of: Rocco R.
